Finally - a pet water fountain that is almost silent! The only thing you might hear now and again is a gentle ripple of water. At first I thought it wasn't working but it just happens to be a very quiet device. The pieces are made of sturdy plastic and assembling it was very easy. I liked that it has a sensor light inside that tells you when the water is getting low and also serves as a subtle nightlight. The fountain spout is low profile so there is no splash, unlike other fountains I've tried. It comes with a tiny bottle brush and appears to be much easier to clean than other models. My cat likes to drink from running water and drank from this almost immediately after I set it up (he had to sniff it for a bit first, of course). This is the best pet water fountain I've used!
