I would consider it fairly resistant. The electronics and food are pretty well protected. I would not hesitate to leave it outside (except for marauding coons). The food tray will retain water in a rain so the dispensed food will get wet.
There are 2 small holes next to the mic button be sure not to cover them up when you record and speak loudly there is no playback volume control.
There is a small instruction sheet with the product that explains how to remove 6 screws and swap out the large food dispenser for the small one included in the box. You can vary the amount of food for each meal with the control panel so maybe changing out the dispenser isn’t necessary. I have two cats and the original dispenser works great.
I don’t believe it does, though I never let it get completely empty. There is a clear lid and you can see how much food is left. Plan on filling it once per week. I have three cats.
Yes it does. Once I programmed it for the feeding times (twice daily), it takes over – 5:45am, the selected amount of food falls into the tray, and the same thing again at 4:45pm daily, every day (the times I programmed it for). I haven’t had to worry about feeding my cats since I programmed the WOpet. It’s liberating! On a side note, I do have batteries in it just in case my house were to lose power for some reason and I was away from home.
I will tell you this..I do it, but definitely not recommended if there’s heavy rain. The switch to turn this on is underneath,so if it’s a light rain but you can give it some coverage,then I say that should be ok.If need be,I made a makeshift, heavy duty, black trash bag,to protect mine one time,which was just fine.Truly,it depends on you pet. If they’re the curious kind and would try to flip it over,then pull it in when it rains, or snows, for that matter.
It has two different sized “portion wheels.” For each of the four available meal times, you can set anywhere between 1 and 39 portions (one section of the wheel equals 1 “portion”).
For the small wheel, one portion is 5g. 39 portions of the small wheel is 195g.
For the large wheel, one portion is 10g. 39 portions is 390g.
Yes. The food tray snaps onto the bottom of the feeder. It is held securely in place by the weight of the feeder.
I just recorded again and it overwrote it. If it’s a real problem just take out the batteries and unplug it. That will wipe our ALL the settings.
No. My cat tried, but the food stays out until the feeder dispenses it.
