[Blue] WOPET W03 LITE 3L Premium Ceramic Pet Water Fountain for Cats or small Dogs

So somehow we managed to wind up with three cats and one of them - a 13 year old lady named Smudge - is notoriously horrible about drinking. And when I say horrible at drinking I mean she has needed emotional support to drink her entire life. I sort of blame myself given that I fostered her litter from the time she was 6 hours old and I was physically incapable of teaching her to lap like a mother cat would. It's been year after year of numerous different fountains, bowls, coffee mugs, hell, we used a shot glass for a while because she would actually drink out of it. And then one day I got the bright idea to search for a ceramic cat fountain recommendation on reddit. That led me down the rabbit hole and I was eventually shot out onto the WOPET website where I debated for two days over pulling the trigger on this sucker. Eventually I decided to just get the one with the cord and to see how the cats responded. The cats responded with immediate interest. They didn't need no stinking learning curve or adaption time, no, they started drinking from it right away - or at least the boys did. Smudge sat there and stared at it for about five minutes, took a tentative drink, and then didn't come up for air for a shockingly long time. When I tell you I did a happy dance I am not exaggerating or lying. All three of them are *obsessed* with this fountain. Smudge likes to drink from the plate mostly, directly under where the water from the flower hits it, Timo likes to drink directly where the water bubbles up, and Tomáš isn't picky. All three of them are better hydrated and their vet is just *delighted* by how much better Smudge's urine looks over the last six months. And now, the nitty gritty: - I won't lie, this fountain is heavy - but I feel like that's both a plus and a minus given that Tomáš hasn't been able to dismantle it and drag it around. - The corded fountain has a light on the motor that is blue when there's enough water and red when there isn't, and it kind of glows at night - but that's why we got one of the wireless ones for my bedroom (and I stuck a piece of tape over the light). - It holds a lot of water, but I only keep it about half full because I change it out every other day as I'm more interested in the water movement than it being a big old tank of water. - I've started stretching out the actual washing of the bowl to every four days instead of every other day because unlike literally every single other fountain I've ever had this one doesn't get gross and slimy in the space of 48 hours. - I cannot speak to the battery life on the cordless one because we just keep it plugged in. - The directions on putting it together are really clear and the assembly is so easy a literal three year old can do it (no, really, my niece managed it and she'll be four in November.) - This. Fountain. Is. Silent. I cannot put enough emphasis on this point: IT IS SILENT. I'm extremely noise sensitive at night and the only sound I've heard this fountain ever make is the occasional gurgle (or the sound of my cat drinking, yay!) There is absolutely no hum, no rattling, no sound whatsoever. It's genuinely remarkable. We've had them since April and I waited for two months to write this review just so I could give a (very wordy) thorough review. If anything goes haywire I'll update this review, but at this point I am giving the WOPET Ceramic Pet Fountain two very enthusiastic thumbs up. Super highly recommended, ten out of ten, no notes. Well, one note. I wish it was available in a dark blue or green instead of pastel blue or fleshy orange-pink. Other than that, it's perfect.

The overall design is very cute, and it is completely silent. I would never guess that water was running, even right next to it, it is quiet!! The packaging was very well-thought out, each component wrapped in layers and foam protecting the larger pieces. The box itself even felt fancy. In one of the photos, I placed all the small pieces into the bowl to show what all is there. The tubular bit that connects to the water filter/pump comes with a brush to clean the inside. One blue round filter and pump filter is given by default. The bowl itself, the white plate, and the spout piece where the water comes out at are all ceramic, but everything else is plastic. That doesn’t bother me, but if you’re completely anti-plastic, it may not be for you. I got the wired one since it was cheaper, and I assume it does this with the wireless as well, but there is a light that is visible on two sides of the bowl that basically lets you know if you need to replace filters/issues etc by going from blue (good) to red (not so good). The manual it comes with goes into more depth, I mostly like the light because it keeps the bowl slightly visible even in the dark. Assembly was super easy, literally just placing things on top of things and plugging it in. A whole minute, if that, not including pre-rinse/cleaning of components. I’ve only had it a few days, but both of my cats are loving it. I have a crazy kitten who loves water, so she sticks her paw at the top of the spout and drinks the water off of her paw. I’ll definitely have to get a mat to put under it for security! But, as long as it encourages frequent drinking, I’ve no complaints. My older cat has a lot of issues with chin acne, so I’m hoping having a ceramic bowl can help. If it malfunctions I will try to remember to update, otherwise, it’s a great bowl and extremely sturdy/heavy. Bang for your buck considering it’s 3 liters, especially if you catch it on sale. Highly recommend this fountain!!
