WOpet Guardian Dog Treat Camera Pet Camera with Treats (New Version)

This is my first experience with something like this. Generally, I don’t like the idea of cameras in my home but the draw of a camera that makes me able to interact with my pups when I’m not at home was too great of a draw to resist. It was easy to set up on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. It took a couple of tries to get it to connect but I can’t say if that was an actual problem or just me as I’ve had similar issues in the past with other things. It comes with the power cord and the wall adaptor which is fantastic. Most electronics these days expect you to already have an adaptor or you have to purchase one separately but I’m really glad that Wopet doesn’t. Once set up I was ready to play. I was careful to find a treat that was a reasonable size and texture to run through the hopper being mindful to find something that wasn’t too big or very soft. I set it up on the floor because I didn’t want to accidentally hit one of them in the eye with the treat. It has suction cups on the bottom that help to stabilize it and keep it from tipping. It makes a sound on their end right before a treat is dispensed and it didn’t take them long at all to figure out that when they heard the sound a treat was eminent. This has become a great stress reliever for me at work. If/when I get stressed, I pick up my phone and I can see my pups in real time. I can pitch out a treat and watch them scramble. I can even talk to them and watch their reactions. Also, a very nice feature is that I’m able to take pictures and videos whenever they are exceptionally cute. The fun and entertainment that this gives to me is worth the price! I’ve had a lot of fun with this little thing and I enjoy it a lot. I can see where it would be helpful too if you have an anxious pup.

This was wonderfully easy to setup. I simply scanned the QR code from the instruction manual, downloaded the app, turned it on and typed my Wi-Fi password into the app after creating an account.The app interface is intuitive and simple. You can view the livestream on half your screen whilst playing with the settings. You can also view the livestream full screen if you wish. There are controls for dispending a treat, talking through the microphone, capturing a photo or taking a video. You can also press a button to listen in on your pet as well as viewing them.Importantly, the app is free of charge and doesn’t require a subscription as far as I’m aware.The resolution of the image is fantastic. It’s clear, sharp and can easily handle fast motions of my papillon darting around the room.My main criticism is the unexpectedly large size (I held an iPhone 8 next to it for reference in one of my photos). I was originally intending to put this on a shelf in my bookcase and was quite disappointed to find that it’s much too large. It’s almost as big as my air purifier!! I’d therefore urge you not to make the same mistake as me, and to check the dimensions before ordering. Also, the plastic does feel a little cheap and the large size makes it feel extra clunky. It doesn’t have a very sophisticated aesthetic in my opinion, and it takes up a lot of space.

This product was very easy to set up. I love how easy the app is on my phone. And now I can watch my pet from anywhere and always have a peace of mind. The treat shooting is awesome as well.

Both us and our kitty love this treat dispenser! The camera is a great feature that allows us to clearly see him enjoy the treats as they are delivered. Easy and fun to use.

I use this product for my two cats as I live alone and sometimes go away on weekends. Seeing them and knowing they are ok gives me a sense of security and peace of mind. I put it where I can see most of the room because of the microphone and if they talk to me they come up to me so I can see them even if they are not in the room. I can also hear them, which is nice. The therapy features are cool too. The nighttime function and motion function are nice too. I've had it for about a month now and it's totally worth it.

This is my best experience yet with WOPET products. The feeder connected easily to my network.
